How to Get Away With Murder

How to Get Away With Murder is a new show that was created by Peter Norwalk and is executive produced by Shonda Rimes. The show stars Viola Davis as Professor Annalise a hot shot defense attorney and Professor at Middleton University. She selects a group of her best students to work at her firm to help with cases. The audience gets to see the future of show were the students become entangled in murder.

The first case involves a assistant who kills her boss by switching his blood pressure med with aspirins which kills him. The team must figure out a good defense to keep their client from going to jail. Annalise shows them their prize to the best student if they do a good job which in the future is used as a murder weapon. During this first case you learn more about the characters Pratt and Conner are at the top of their class very driven and will do anything to win. P ratt out the gate shows that she is a go getter by getting the information that the secretary that went into the office was color blind and could not identify what pill was on the desk. This evidence puts her at the top of the pack. Conner uses illegal tactics to get new information for Annalise to introduce in court showing that he will do anything to win. Givens thinking he has found a way to discredit a witness walks in on Annalise having sex with what he thinks is her husband, but later finds out that is not the case which puts him awkward position. Laurel is quiet but smart when she sees the wife and the mistress sharing a moment she suspects that the two are in cahoots.

When Laurel brings it up to Frank (Annalise law partner ) he dismisses her that's when Bonnie (Annalise law partner ) tells him to stop sleeping with students. Laurel better watch out because Frank is coming for you. Givens and Annalise have a moment alone and she expresses her regret for having affair on her and their want for child is the reason for the affair. Her performance in this scene was bone chilling, she hands down had me believing she felt bad about having a affair on her husband. How she collected herself in the mirror was priceless, she had a sinister smirk without even smiling. The shows ends with two things one we learn more about the young girl that is found dead on campus, and we get to see the future with the audience seeing Annalise husband as a victim.

How to Get Away With Murder

On this week episode Annalise and her students are taking on case were a husband is accused of killing his wife of twenty years . During the course of the trial Annalise begins to suspect her husband in the murder of one his students. He tells her had nothing to do with the girl or murder, but she is not trying to hear it. She check his phone to see what kind of messages he had from her they were harmless, but when she checked the next day they were gone. Is someone hiding something?

Annalise picks her students she wants work in her firm, but not everyone is sold on working for her. Givens still feels that he was only chosen because he caught Analise with another man but convinces him that's not the case. Laurel is having a hard time voicing her opinion to the group she finally finds her voice by the end of the show. Conner once again uses his IT person to gain information that may help the case. During the cross examining of the daughter new evidence is brought to light that makes the professor client look guilty. When client is confronted with the new evidence he admits he killed his first wife but since double jeopardy is attached he can't be charged. So this puts the team back at square one they need find the evidence to save their client from going to jail. Laurel saves the day when she see some evidence when they go back to the crime scene. Still suspicious of her husband Annalise seeks help from the detective who she has been sleeping with and blackmailing. He tells her to stop searching for evidence and go home to her husband, but Annalise begs him to look into it. I feel like she scared of her husband there has to be more going on there.

Givens next door neighbor and her boyfriend are arrested for the murder of the girl found on campus. We also learn new clues to what got them caught in the murder of Annalise husband question still remain. Who fault is it? Who can't they trust? Are Laurel and Frank having a affair

Scandal

Olivia Pope is back being lured back to the states by the news of Harrison's death Olivia goes back to bury her friend. She comes to find Finn still being Finn and Huck working as ITT tech and Abby working at the White House as Press Secretary. Fitz of course won reelection to bad his son had to be the sacrificial lamb that had be step on for him to get to the White House. Mellie grief stricken has not taken off her robe or changed her clothes and refuses to participate in anything that has do with White House. During this first episode the president is looking for a new Attorney General this is were the story begins for Liv a Senator votes is needed to approve him but he is assaulted in his home by senator Stephanie Vaughn who claims the Senator Sterling tried to sexually assault her.

         At first Senator Vaughn thinks Sterling is dead, but when they Go over the testimony Olivia starts to doubt Vaughn story and calls her out on her lie and demands the truth. With the help if Finn she finds out that Sterling has a type and the real victim was her assistant Kate. She also learns that Vaughn used Kate as bait to blackmail Sterling into voting for Paycheck Fairness Act.

    Everyone attends Harrison funeral to say goodbye although there is still tension within the group. While at the service Jake spots Rowan and wonders why he is there. Fitz tells Mellie that Olivia is back Mellie tells him basically to tell her if he plans to see her to let her know. Fitz insists that him and Olivia are over, but Mellie still tells him to tell her if he plans to see Olivia.

       On the next episode of Scandal Cyrus black mails Olivia to get the face gun control the Elliot's to the White House

for the State of the Union Address. Mellie is still grieving the loss of their son and on top of that photographers have released pictures that are not flattering. She has been dubbed mental Mellie by the press. To show that the country that everything is fine Fitz and Cyrus try to convince her to attend the State of the Union Address, but she wants nothing to do with the White House.
Meanwhile Huck and Finn are forced to worked together after Olivia goes to Mexico to retrieve famous couple James and Lisa Elliot, only problem is the couple hates each other. She leaves Huck and Finn to babysit the couple, but the two of them have not resolve there issues they have so they argue just as the Elliot's do. After watching Abby at work during Press Conference Olivia tries to help her during a interview, but Abby does not appreciate it and they have blow in her office were she finds out that Huck and Finn have been incesting all over the office. Olivia will never look at desk or probably the table again. Since Mellie is adamant about not attending the State Of the Union Address Abby swoops in with a Olivia inspired speech to get her attend, but in the end a visit from Cyrus gets her to attend. So in the end the Elliott's are attendance at the address and so is Melli, but after the speech Melli has a total breakdown. Liv helps Fitz with his speech telling him to real about the situation and the country will empathize you. She does not stay for the speech, but makes a beeline to Jake's hotel room to give him a nice surprise. Jake meanwhile has been investigating the death of Harrison and it looks like he might be on to something .

Cyrus obviously very lonely and horney picks up a man at a bar and brings him back to his hotel room. He then finds out that he is escort Cyrus then has second thoughts about spending the night with the man, but after the man gets naked that decision goes out the window no sex just kissing.
The escort we find out after he leaves the hotel is working with Elizabeth to possible take Cyrus down hope he does not fall for it. I feel he has it coming considering what he did to his husband.
